Introduction/specifics

My name is Nurcihan Özgen. I was born on June 20, 1974, and I am married. I completed the qualification course to become a childminder through the Diakoniewerk Essen professional association from January 2019 to June 2019. Since November 2019, I have been caring for up to nine children aged 1-3 years in our large daycare center "Die kleinen Spatzen" (The Little Sparrows) together with my sister, Ms. Handan Sevgican. I provide care until they start daycare. I very much look forward to a wonderful, exciting time with your children.

Rooms

Our daycare center, which was rented specifically for childcare, is centrally located at Haus-Berge-Straße 207 in Essen-Bergeborbeck. It is on the ground floor and measures approximately 73 square meters. The entrance leads to the changing room area. In the lovingly furnished, large play area, children have plenty of space to explore, play, and romp. A separate room offers the children the opportunity to rest during the day. Here, each child has their own bed for a nap. There is also a bathroom and a kitchen.

Outdoor Facilities

Your children can roam freely in our fully fenced garden. There are play equipment such as a slide, sandpit, and various vehicles (pedal cars, etc.).

Basics

We want the children to enjoy coming to us and have fun. We achieve this through loving and sincere interactions. Our goal is to support the children in developing their self-confidence and independence and to expand their abilities without overwhelming them.

Quality Assurance

- Qualification course for childcare providers
- Regular participation in continuing education courses
- Participation in the "First Aid for Toddlers" course every two years
- Hygiene training at the health department
- Member of the Essen Childcare Interest Group
- Professional support from the Diakoniewerk Essen as a professional association

Cooperations

We cooperate with the Youth Welfare Office of the City of Essen and the Diakoniewerk Essen, as specialist advisors for child day care, and have regular contact with other child day care providers.

Teamwork with parents

A good working relationship with you is extremely important to us. We strive to build an open, personal, and collaborative relationship with you. For the benefit of the children, we remain in constant contact. We make arrangements regarding care times, educational ideas, experiences, and the children's developmental stages. These "brief chats" take place daily.
