My name is Deniz Gözalan, I am 45 years old and mother of two children. On 1 September 2022, I will be starting my own business as a childminder in Essen Rüttenscheid and offering five full-time childcare places.
My 75 m² rooms are located in a central but quiet area in Essen Rüttenscheid. They consist of a long hallway, a large playroom, a kitchen with dining area, a quiet bedroom and a medium-sized bathroom with separate toilets for children and adults.
The rooms are bright and child-friendly and equipped with motion detectors.
I have a 6-seater nursery wagon and will regularly visit playgrounds in the area with the children.
The children arrive at the daycare centre until 9 a.m.
9:00 - 9:30am Breakfast
9:30 - 11:00am Playground/ in case of bad weather role play, painting, crafts, exercise, baking, free play
11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Lunch
11:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Teeth brushing, nappy changing
12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Afternoon nap
2:00 p.m. to pick-up time Free play
I offer a varied breakfast with fruit tea or milk.
I cook fresh, balanced and varied lunches every day.
I buy fresh fruit and vegetables as well as meat.
Meat and fish are offered three times a week.
I take children's allergies and intolerances into account.
There is no pork.
The child and their needs are the focus of attention.
I fulfil my educational mandate by implementing the 10 areas of education in a very targeted manner. Participation is an important aspect of my childcare.
Loving care based on Montessori pedagogy is very important to me.
‘Help me to do it myself.’
My focus is on outdoor exercise, and in bad weather, indoor exercise. I consider this to be very important for children's development.
In 2022, I successfully completed the QHB+ course.
I regularly attend further training courses and learn a lot.
I work closely with my professional association, Diakoniewerk Essen. Their support is very important to me.
I have a partnership with a nearby nursery and work together with the Diakoniewerk Essen.
Working together with parents achieves a lot and is very important to me. Informal door-to-door conversations keep parents up to date. This is reinforced by portfolios and educational documentation.
My childcare-free periods are during the school holidays. The dates will be announced in due course at the end of the year.
